I'm using a laptop, and I've set my external monitor as my primary monitor and disabled my laptop monitor, everything works as expect. Reboot, login and my desktop loads on my primary display with no taskbar (laptop screen is still disabled as desired). I have to open the display settings and re-enable my laptop monitor and set it as the default.
