The story with MariaDB-10.6.x is long, also on Linux. digiKam will not work stably on Windows with MariaDB-10.6.x until appropriate patches are incorporated into Qt. If digiKam says during the connection test that no connection can be established, it is probably not digiKam's fault. Can you establish a connection with HeidiSQL?
