Bug ID: 452124 Summary: VirtualBox VM window stops reacting (partially) to inputs Product: kwin Version: 5.24.3 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: wayland-generic Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: pos...@posteo.eu Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I have several VMs setup (Fedora 35, Win10, ...) and for all I encounter the issue that the VM stops reacting to mouse or keyboard inputs after some time(?) or under certain conditions, such as when the VM becomes fullscreen and is transformed back to maximized window. If this bug happens, the window itself can still be dragged and (host ctrl key + F) can be send to make it go/exit full screen and also Alt+F4 can still be send to the window, making VirtualBox display its "Shutdown VM Options" dialog, which cannot be used by the mouse, but at least with the keyboard. However, the virtual machine's toolbar doesn't react anymore and the VM itself cannot be used. Interestingly it's not completely frozen, since if `Meta` is hit, both KDE Plasma's kickoff as well as the VM's start menu open. Under X11 everything works fine and I haven't experienced this issue yet.
