Bug ID: 452118 Summary: All windows rescaled to very small height after disconnecting external monitor Product: kwin Version: 5.24.3 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: multi-screen Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: mk...@ibb.waw.pl Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 147864 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=147864&action=edit Bottom edge of my screen after monitor dissconnect. SUMMARY I use laptop with one or two external monitors (or one projector). When I disconnect external display all windows (except maximized) are resized to very small height (~190px) and positioned on the bottom edge of laptops monitor. After connection external monitor(s) all windows are still small and positioned on the bottom edge of laptop display. It is very annoying behaviour. I have to resize all windows on each disconnection of external monitor. Laptop screen resolution is 2560x21440, external displays are 1920x1080. Laptop display is always configured as main display. The desktop is expanded to all monitors. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect one or more external monitors to laptop and configure the desktop to use all monitors. 2. Disconnect external monitor when multiple windows are opened. Windows are not maximized. OBSERVED RESULT The height of all windows is decreased to ~190px, the widths are OK. Windows are positioned on the bottom edge of screen. EXPECTED RESULT Windows are moved to laptop display without changing their size.
