If that does not accurately reflect the true charging status, there is an issue
much deeper in the stack. Seems like this restriction must happen at the
firmware or PMU level. I suspect this is a scummy intentional limitation that
Dell imposes just to be assholes to their customers. :( Some laptop
manufacturers periodically do this; HP has also done it in the past. There
isn't any way we can work around this. If you feel that you can't live with
this limitation, the best advice I can give is to avoid Dell's hardware in the
future, or return it and get something from another manufacturer.
