            Bug ID: 450752
Summary: Allow to close the tab without closing every tabs of
                    the same file
           Product: kate
           Version: 21.12.2
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: i...@rezvin.com
  Target Milestone: ---

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a file
2. Click View > Split Horizontal. You will see that current file is now show in
both panes (each pane with one tab).
3. Click "Close" on either tab

OBSERVED RESULT
Split view remains; current file is closed in both panes; both panes now show
"Untitled" file.

EXPECTED RESULT
One of the split should disappear; another view should have the original file
still open.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
It is impossible to close "tab"; it is possible only to close the view or the
document. Therefore it makes any workflow that includes using both tabs and
views inconvenient:

- to "move" tab with some file to different view, I have to close the document
everywhere, than re-open it in target view
- it is impossible to open the second pane with same document in different
view, i.e. for reference, and then close it, without closing all instances of
same document.

Introducing "close current tab" command would be great.
