shift+delete within Dolphin still gives a warning telling the user that it is
an ambiguos shortcut.
After deleting shift+delete from the "Cut" file action, shift+delete works for
a bit, then the warning reappears.

I think that a decision has to be taken. Personally I never used shift+delete
as "Cut" either in Windows or Linux. Only used it to delete files.
