STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Upgrade plasma to 5.24.0
2. Configure plasma to use the Application Launcher (in my case I set it up to
appear when clicking the desktop)
3. Click an application entry in the Application Launcher widget, for example:
firefox
OBSERVED RESULT
A kwrite (or other text editor) session is launched with the application
desktop file opened, for example: firefox.desktop
EXPECTED RESULT
Firefox would be launched
