Information from "Please paste the following information into the bug report!"
Upon install, and again upon reinstall, at startup, Krita 5.0.2 displays the
message "The program can't start because
api-ms-win=downlevel-kernel32-12-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try
reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Prior installed version of Krita
did not display this message. Krita, nevertheless, does start, despite this
message, and works as intended.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Download "krita-x64-5.0.2-setup.exe"
2. Install Krita 5.0.2 in Windows 7 Ultimate, service pack 1.
3. Run krita.ex at location "C:\Program Files\Krita (x64)\bin\krita.exe"
OBSERVED RESULT
Dialog box opens, title bar "krita.exe - System error" and text "The program
can't start because api-ms-win=downlevel-kernel32-12-1-0.dll is missing from
your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
Click "OK" on the box, wait 10 seconds, and the Krita interface appears (and
Krita runs without problems.)
EXPECTED RESULT
No dialog box should open.
