No proof for this > theory. Plasma’s monitor settings just show one monitor. In fact your theory would be correct. A kernel bug affecting the AMD GPU is causing exactly that to happen; see https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206387 However Plasma should handle this situation a lot better! We did also make some improvements to this for Plasma 5.24. Any chance you could check again there?
