My thought was that because the task manager already allowed closing multiple windows of one program (if they are grouped) it would be easy to extend this onto arbitrary windows. Of course I did not think about the need to implement a selection model for this :-/ (Nevertheless I think that being able to select and close multiple windows at once is a useful feature.
