Wow, thanks! I didn't have CCD logging turned on, but I did try disabling logging and then things worked. And as I've tried re-enabling logging I haven't reproduced the failure. Very strange. I'll go ahead and load the beta image that you've mentioned. If I don't see anymore repeats I guess I could resolve this as not reproducible.
