Bug ID: 448490 Summary: noticed that when using qhy268m at high framerate to produce a ser file this is written with 8 bit sampling instead of 16 Product: kstars Version: 3.5.6 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com Reporter: kstarsl...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. running the streaming capture 2. obtain a ser file 3. OBSERVED RESULT the ser file is converted is a sequence of fits frames but in both cases files are sampled at 8 bit EXPECTED RESULT 16 bit SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: ubuntu Vbox virtual machine + Kstars Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I Jasem, while waiting for the next version of kstars for Mac I'm trying to run it together with a Vbox virtual machine ubuntu. I noticed what is described above (8bit instead of 16 as ser file result). Is that a known behavior? I chosed qhy268 for its high framerate and sampling to obtain the best in speckle interferometry data and that would be a pity... just in case, do you think could be fixed in the future? thank you so much in any case -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
