Thanks for the additional info! Can you maybe try the appimage from here:
https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kdenlive_Stable_appimage-centos7/ ? This
Appimage is NOT PRODUCTION READY (we are aware that there are several startup
errors and a strange font), but it is packaged different and many issues are
due to packaging issues. Another option would be to try the PPA or Flatpak?
This way we can check whether it is a packaging issue with the Appimage…
