SUMMARY
I have an Asus laptop with power profiles supported via the asus-wmi driver. I
can choose a power profile from the Battery and Brightness menu, and it updates
according to powerprofilesctl. However, the UI stays at Balanced. This also
prevents me from switching back to Balanced via the UI, though I can still
switch between Power Save and Performance.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Batteries and Brightness
2. Select either Power Save or Performance
OBSERVED RESULT
The profile switches, but this isn't reflected by the UI.
EXPECTED RESULT
The profile displayed in the UI switches to the selected profile, matching the
reality.
