Bug ID: 447420 Summary: Gwenview only shows one picture when opening several files with same name (from different folders) Product: gwenview Version: 21.08.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: lemondej...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 144803 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=144803&action=edit The bug in action (steps to reproduce) SUMMARY Gwenview allows to select several files and open only these. In essence, from e.g. Dolphin, you can choose a few pictures, right click and select Open with Gwenview. This would create symbolic links to some location within /tmp and just works fine (it's a super useful feature btw). However if you select from tree view in Dolphin several images with identical names (from different folders), Gwenview would only open one of them. I believe that it would create two symbolic links with the same name, too, thus the second would overwrite the first one. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a folder "one" and a folder "two". Put an image "img.png" in both of them. 2. From e.g. Dolphin, from the tree view, expand "one" and "two", and select both "img.png" images. 3. Right click, Open with Gwenview. OBSERVED RESULT It would show only one image, but should show both of them.
