I don't think this is a duplicate of #364766 -- in my case it has nothing to do
with suspend/resume nor does it affect anything but letters.
Since a while now least it does restore itself reliably after a while (moving
the mouse in and out of the affected area) and does not persist until a
reboot/plasma restart anymore.
