It is an option to be sure though I'm not sure what could cause this behavior.
It is a very weird problem in particular since the connection works everywhere
else.

I'm moving the bug to KIO since I am kind of out of ideas. What you could try
is open the 'network preferences' settings in systemsettings and check that the
values make sense and maybe increase the timeouts a lot, to check if perhaps
it's a connection problem. If you have lots of packet loss perhaps the
connection simply times out because of that :shrug:
