STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set the 'Animation speed' slider in System Settings to the far right (Instant) 2. Restart Kalendar 3. Open the sidebar for any event OBSERVED RESULT There is an animation EXPECTED RESULT There should have been none, because animations were set to instant.
