            Bug ID: 445574
Summary: DBus Access to Refresh Button in KDE Connect
           Product: kdeconnect
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: common
          Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
          Reporter: g...@g4b.org
  Target Milestone: ---
             Flags: corner_case+

SUMMARY
***
KDE Connect sometimes loses connection over the network; I tracked it down to
most likely being due to packet loss, which is induced by our WiFi situation
(overlapping networks) which we can't change.

Finding devices again sometimes takes several minutes, once the connection
breaks.

However, pressing "Refresh" in the KDE Connect Settings below the list of
devices on the host usually fixes this problem instantly.

However unfortunately, pressing the refresh button cannot be automated easily.

I ask to simply expose this refresh Action via DBUS, if possible. This would
allow a script that checks our usecase of using KDE Connect on a keyboard-less
kiosk system to poll refresh, if no phone is connected every x sec, so we can
at least reduce the outage time of network errors.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set up KDE Connect by adding IP Adress
2. Have bad WiFi Connection
3. Wait until connection is re-established

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: latest Neon, however this issue persists since 3 years.
