            Bug ID: 445420
           Summary: kdeconnectd prevents proper suspend
           Product: kdeconnect
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian unstable
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: common
          Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
          Reporter: jcgo...@protonmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Basically, KDEconnect prevents the system from properly entering suspend, and
at times I had to reboot my laptop (Thinkpad T480s) since the screen wouldn't
turn back on properly.
This is a very odd bug that I'm not even sure that I can reliably reproduce,
but it has happened so many times already that I just stopped using KDE connect
at one point as it became too much of a hassle to use.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. run KDE connect
2. (not sure if required) connect to some device
3. put the laptop to sleep (suspend?)

OBSERVED RESULT

The device tries to enter suspend mode, but kdeconnectd prevents it from doing
so completely. As a workaround, killing the process via `pkill kdeconnectd` or
similar seems to do the trick (but I usually forget to run this when in a
hurry).

EXPECTED RESULT

The device should enter suspend mode properly. Sometimes this does happen even
with KDE connect running, so I'm not 100% sure what triggers it.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

distro: Debian Unstable
KDE connect: kdeconnect:amd64 21.08.0-1
QT: libqt5 5.15.2
desktop environment: XFCE 4.14
kernel: 5.10.0-8-amd64

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
