I am using a G3 3779 Dell laptop with an Acer VG220Q monitor connected via HDMI
cable.
On a daily basis, the external monitor is connected so that the Acer screen is
on the right side.
When I turn on a game, watch a video.... I turn off my Laptop screen using
screen layout\display configuration widget (on my laptop it is a pair of Fn+F8
keys).
When I'm done, I turn the laptop screen back on using the widget so that the
Acer is on the right side again.
At this point the Plasma crashes and reboots.

The same crash is observed when I use System Setting Application (Display
Configuration Section)
