--- Comment #5 from Frank Steinmetzger <war...@gmx.de> ---
I think I worded my comment badly.

The consumption label shows the charge into the battery, in essence its
statement is that the battery “consumes” power by storing the energy. But when
a user reads “consumption”, I think (s)he would assume the computer hardware.

You have to admit, noone would ever say “my battery consumes 20 W”, but rather
“my battery is charged with 20 W”. Consumption is an active “activity”, but the
battery is the passive part of that activity. It does not charge itself, rather
it is charged by external circuitry. The same goes for discharge, here the
active part (the consumer) is the actual system hardware.

> and in the other, the consumption is coming from the wall?

Well, the info page we are discussing here is about batteries. So one would
assume the displayed numbers are specific to that battery (especially in my
case, where I have different numbers for individual batteries). Plus, this
wattage only shows the charge power (as can be seen in the screenshots of
#443573), and does not show the actual consumption from the wall (or from the
power adapter going into the mobo).

I realise that I am being picky about the wording due to my technical mind. I’m
also a member of the l18n group, picking on words’ meaning is our pastime. ;-)
So I won’t be mad if you dismissed my argument, however I’d still like to
suggest using a different term like Charge power or Charge rate, if it
shouldn’t be too technically-sounding.

Thanks.
