--- Comment #20 from MikeC <mike.cloa...@gmail.com> --- By the way on the two machines where there was no problem logging in after the update that section of the kwinrc file has only the lines: [Compositing] GLCore=true OpenGLIsUnsafe=false So perhaps removing all other lines in that section, but leaving those two will be enough.
