There were 5 profiles, so I just assumed it was a good sampling of possible configs and one would work. Thanks for the pointers to some documentation - it's already very interesting. The reference to Sextractor helps me better understand why guiding is using StellarSolver in the first place. I'll try what I can in a couple weeks when I'm back at the observatory.
