Bug ID: 443508 Summary: Hiding a window's border causes it to turn black Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: ombroph...@outlook.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 142274 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=142274&action=edit Konsole turning black upon hiding its border SUMMARY Recently, whenever a window's border is hidden (or restored), the entire window turns black. This started to occur only during the past few months. As can be observed in the attached screen-captures, the window could be reviewed only after performing a minimize/restore or a maximize/restore operation. This observation was made while using KDE in X11. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a window. 2. Hide the window border (either by right-clicking on the title bar or pressing Alt+F3 and selecting "More Actions > No Border"). Window observed to turn black. 3. Minimize and restore the window through its icon on the panel. Window content is visible again. 3.1. Alternately, maximize and restore the window by using the shortcuts Meta+PgUp and Meta+PgDn to make the window content visible again. 4. Now, unhide the window border (by pressing Alt+F3 and deselecting "More Actions > No Border"). Window (except the title bar) turns black again. 5. Repeat either step 3 or 3.1 to make the window content visible again. OBSERVED RESULT A visible window turns black upon hiding/unhiding the window's border. EXPECTED RESULT Window content should have been visible instead.
