I don't think so,but that's what I think about it. Also because I'm working
with timeline which is also a layer docker,but with some missing features. If
you only show it if layerdocker is hidden,do you then follow the same for
timeline? even though currently timeline doesn't reflect layer docker fully?
The line is kind of blurry,perhaps.

Also to me it seems good to always look at the same corner for certain  info,
good visual feedback,that doesn't change on whether or not some dockers are
hidden.

Maybe configuration is in order? but that makes it more complex,probably...

Just my thoughts on it ,I welcome other views.
