Bug ID: 442961 Summary: slider handle clipped when handle hint is smaller than handle Product: plasmashell Version: 5.22.90 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: doncb...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 141916 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=141916&action=edit a circular handle is made boxy SUMMARY The slider assets in slider.svg now work differently. When the slider hint-handle-size is smaller than the slider asset, everything outside the hint's box is cut off. I believe the handle-size used to hint the handle size, but not determine the actual size of its respective image. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select a plasma style whose hint-handle-size is smaller than the actual handle (I used Win11OS) 2. run plasmashell --replace to update 3. Open Audio Volume to see the sliders OBSERVED RESULT Slider handle is limited to the hint-handle-size box and the rest is clipped. EXPECTED RESULT Slider handle should be full in its appearance, hint box is placed in middle, and slider should slide along where the hint would. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.90 KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This breaks pill-shaped sliders completely now that sliders have to fit into the box. They will also have rather large left and right padding as a result, moving min and max further inward. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
