Bug ID: 442700 Summary: Feature request: Add more formats for vector library Product: krita Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: scottpetro...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I was watching a Youtuber and one of the ideas they had was to add the ability to have an image library where they can drag items onto the canvas. https://youtu.be/DbfCOJCl5QM?t=399 You can currently do this with the vector library in general, but their use case revolved around animation which vector files do not support. The use case that was presented was having a bunch of mouth shapes that they can drag on to the canvas as they need them. Solution #1: One idea would be to expand the vector library to include more image formats than SVG. It would be neat if something like PNGs could also be supported. This would obviously take some planning as right now the vector library docker reads an SVG file to get all the elements in the collection. Solution #2 Maybe we don't need to worry about this feature...and direct people to the Photobash plugin where they can drag and drop images on their canvas that is being added to Krita 5.0. If we do this approach, we probably could update our documentation to direct people to use that if they want to use image libraries with JPG, PNG, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QX9jwhfpB_8 - new plugin https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/dockers/vector_library.html?highlight=vector%20library - documentation page to update -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
