Add a floating dock or panel if you don't have one on your screen 2. Make sure that the KWin compositor is turned on for desktop animations to work 3. Log out of your Plasma session and log back in 4. Observe how that floating dock/panel appears and disappears as you log out and log in OBSERVED RESULT The floating dock/panel doesn't animate as it appears and disappears on/off the screen during EXPECTED RESULT Floating docks and panels would slide in at login and fade out at logout, just like regular docks and panels.
