I loaded and played a DVD in the normal desktop manner (load DVD in the drive, wait for the device notifier, select the VLC player and play the DVD). Everything proceeded normally. No other changes were applied to my system. On 210816 I loaded another DVD in the drive expecting the device notifier NOT to appear. However, the device notifier did appear and provide all the choices I expected. I was able to play the DVD normally and unload it when complete. I then attempted to reload the DVD.
