Sure it does. As I already wrote: Regular Qt applications are not affected.

This bug report is about allow working with the appindicator-support Gnome
Shell extension.
As recent as two days ago there was a comment on the extension page saying that
Konversation is not working with it.
Exposing KSNI towards Gnome Shell with appindicator-support is important for
properly working KDE apps under Gnome.
