I did, but the patch was rejected by more than one senior KDE dev. I was told to submit a patch to Qt instead, but the process of setting up a complete environment for Qt and KDE development requires so much time that I just haven't gotten close to submitting a Qt patch. On top of that, we won't even be able to use the separator color role until Plasma uses Qt 6, if I do the upstream patch.
