            Bug ID: 440134
Summary: Swipe to type as remote input method
           Product: kdeconnect
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Other
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: android-application
          Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
          Reporter: da...@cyberfoolishness.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I lost my left hand in a traumatic accident. Typing on my phone with swipe to
type is great, but I don't have that option on my PC. There is an option on my
phone KDE Connect app under plugin settings that says, "Remote Input, use your
phone or tablet as a touchpad and keyboard". This sounds like I might be able
to use the swipe to type feature on my phone as a keyboard input on my PC.
However, it doesn't seem to work. My phone is a Samsung S21 Ultra running
Android v.11 and the Gboard keyboard app and the KDE connect app v.1.17. My PC
is running Ubuntu (PopOS) v.20.04. If this could be enabled, it could help a
lot of people challenged by typing on a traditional keyboard. Thank you!
