Thank you very much! Thanks to you I finally found a workaround for the problem
as shown here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430891#c4
1. balooctl disable
2. balooctl purge
3. reboot
4. balooctl enable
Now the search with baloo enabled works like a charm. We should make this a
priority though: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431664
