We already have KMenuEdit which lets you create menu entries for programs which
lack.desktop files. This is basically a worst-case-scenario fallback for
programs whose packaging is defective. I would recommend that you report to the
developers that their download needs to include a .desktop file. Alternatively,
they should package the software as an AppImage for more user-friendliness.
