Bugs usually don't fix themselves just by the effect of time. But in this specific case, all of the involved elements were in fact rewritten (almost) from scratch: the rules kcm, the way that the window detection is called, and the kickoff menu itself With this combination, and following the steps you mentioned I could grab the menu properties for the alternative "Applications Menu" (codename "kicker") even on a submenu: - wmclass: plasmashell - window type: Torn-Off Menu This should be fixed at least on version Plasma 5.22 (and probably also some versions before that). Anyway, if you continue to experience it, or I did misunderstand the bug premises, please reopen. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
