1. We already have a Matrix room at #krita:kde.org, which used to be bridged to
#krita on freenode, but due to various bugs it is not bridged properly at the
moment, and
2. it doesn't matter anyway since we (Krita devs) already left freenode.
3. KDE has been working hard with Matrix and libera.chat staff to move the
channels bridged to freenode to migrate over to libera.chat.
4. While the Matrix room will be bridged to the libera.chat IRC channel in the
near future, the majority of the devs are still accessing it primarily via IRC,
and this is not going to change any time soon.
You are free to join the chat, but there really isn't much for us to discuss on
this issue, as we had pretty much decided on what to do already. You can check
the kimageshop and kde-community mailing lists for some related info. Thanks
