--- Comment #1 from jd@amateurradio.engineer --- Well, I feel a bit weird about this one. Since the upgrade to 20.10, there's this new icon in the notification area that popped up, IBus Panel. I don't like to have extra stuff in there so I closed it almost automatically, after adjusting the settings. It turns out that stops IBus instead of just closing the notification, and IBus MUST be running to be able to type in the search for the application launcher.
