Bug ID: 438189 Summary: "Keep the menu button pressed until it appears" text is confusing Product: systemsettings Version: 5.21.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm_kwindecoration Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: lv215...@anonaddy.me CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 139050 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=139050&action=edit Message shown after enabling the option SUMMARY When the user enable the option to close windows by double clicking in the menu icon, a banner appears with the message: "Close by double-clicking: keep the menu button pressed until it appears". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Settings > Windows decorations > enable the option to close the window by double clicking on the menu icon. OBSERVED RESULT The text is a bit confusing. "Close by double-clicking: keep the menu button pressed until it appears". The sentence starts with "Close by double-clicking", but the tip tells the user to click and hold on the menu button. Also, "until it appears" could be changed to "until the menu appears". EXPECTED RESULT The phrase could be rewritten to something like: "Tip: click and hold on the application icon to show the window's menu".
