SUMMARY
sphinx.util.pycompat.htmlscape was deprecated before python-sphinx 4.0 and
removed with this 4.0 version
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. build with before python-sphinx 4.0 is ok
2. build with python-sphinx error

Extension error:
Could not import extension ecm (exception: cannot import name 'htmlescape' from
'sphinx.util.pycompat'
(/usr/lib/python3.9/site-packages/sphinx/util/pycompat.py))
