Can also confirm; glad I'm not going crazy, the consistently inconsistent
CTRL+C failures were driving me nuts (even having some Cut actions fail after
the original selection was deleted, ie text).
For now using explicit right-click menu commands seems to work around the issue
for me, but using keyboard commands is... spotty for now
