Humm, the behavior of files view seen in the screen recording only occurs when
files are sent
to /home/myusername/.local/share/Trash/ when moved to Trash, as mentioned in
bug 76380 comment 79. I have configured my system to send deleted files to
.Trash-<userid> folder located in the same partition instead (read link below)
and now files view no longer behaves as seen in the screen recording, but
Dolphin is still taking long time to delete thousands of small files from NTFS
partition anyway. I have just sent ~2050 jpg files to Trash and Dolphin 21.04
took ~6 minutes to complete the operation.
