I don't think this is a duplicate of
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432570 as 432570 is random.
On Virtual hardware, namely the 'qxl' device on QEMU the crash is near
instantaneous, not intermittent.  
Unless I export LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE
