There are significant trade-offs here. Grabbing all keyboard and mouse input
requires that the auth dialog be system-modal. This prevents the use of
password managers or Plasma Vault (one of which may be used to store the a
plaintext version of the password)GNOME does this and users are constantly
complaining about how annoying it is.
On the other hand, it would automatically fix Bug 312325 as well as this one.
