            Bug ID: 435319
           Summary: Feature request: Duplicate Shortcut
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: 20.12.1
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: User Interface
          Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: cuyan...@uottawa.ca
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I would like to suggest a more efficient way of duplicating clips in the
timeline. At the moment, one has to copy the clip(s), place the cursor at the
desired spot, paste the clip(s), and, often, reposition the clip(s).

In Premiere and Figma (and I assume other applications), there's a shortcut
where you can hold the ALT key, click on the target, and drag it to
automatically create a duplicate and place it where you like. Here is a demo
(skip to the 1 min mark): https://youtu.be/xzHB5N68spg. Even just having a CTRL
+ D shortcut to duplicate would help with efficiency.
