            Bug ID: 435106
           Summary: Titling workflow
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: 20.12.3
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: User Interface
          Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: kaushik.d...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Titles could be created directly on the project monitor instead of a new
workspace opening up. The current workflow is very inefficient. Here's how you
do it in Kdenlive vs Premiere:

Kdenlive:
1. Click 'Add clip or folder' drop down.
2. In the drop down, click on 'Add title clip' to create an empty  title clip
in project bin
3. Right click the newly created empty clip and then click 'Edit Clip'
4. New workspace opens
5. Click Title tool icon in the new workspace and start writing Title.

Premiere:
1. Click 'Title tool' icon & directly start writing your Title on the program
monitor.

Premiere automatically creates a title layer at the playhead.

Besides, I see no need of title clips being stored in the project bin resulting
in a crowded bin. The title clips could exist only on the TL (just like
Premiere). I did a project with about 150 title clips, and imagine the trouble
of creating/duplicating clips - I had to sort thru title clips in bin, find a
clip, duplicate, open the title workspace and then edit it, when I could have
simply located an existing clip on TL, duplicate and edit it directly on
project monitor.
