I recall there used to be an option to allow dragging the widgets quickly
without long left clicking or entering the customize mode, but I can't find it
anymore, and I'm quite sure I used that method back then.
Anyway, I'm unable to reproduce it now in Plasma 5.21.2, either from within the
customize mode or just long left clicking and throwing the widget on the panel
as soon as it lets me, so I guess it can be considered fixed now.
