Text shadow is enabled only when you configure the plasmashell layout as
"Folder view", but folderview itself as a standalone plasmoid does not display
any shadow.
There is explicit logic into the plasmoid that deny it; would it be possible to
enable it for both the case?
As a site note, task manager could have text shadow with minimal effort.
