Right now the categories are shown as a sidebar, and a sidebar which is tall
and narrow inherently wants to display a list, not a grid. Are you saying that
the list inside the sidebar should be a grid instead anyway? Or something else?
Maybe you could produce a mockup that shows your proposal so it's more clear?
